In order to make the collection of geoscientific data be used efficiently, promote the sharing of geoscientific datawhile protect the intellectual property rights of data authors,increase the innovation output of geoscientific and technology work, and improve the internationalization level of geological work in China, National Geological Archives of China carried out geoscientific data publication based on years of policy and technology research practices. Scientific data refers to the original basic data that reflects the essence, characteristics and changing rules of the objective world obtained in various scientific research work(experiment, observation, detection, investigation, etc.) or through other means, as well as various data sets obtained after processing(Si and Xing, 2013).Geological data is very important scientific data. It is a kind of spatial-temporal big data, which is related to the geospatial position of the earth and reveals the composition, structure and states attributes of the earth, especially the crustal material. It is produced in various geological surveys, explorations, observations and corresponding geological scientific research. And it is generated from various geological surveys, explorations, observations and corresponding geological scientific researches. Geoscientific data has the characteristics of high formation cost, wide application range, difficult to obtain repeatedly and can be reusable used(Jia et al., 2017). The research object of geological science is complex earth system, which determines that the research of geological science requires massive and diversified experiments, surveys, observation and exploration data, which requires the support of multidisciplinary, multi-source, multi-type and comprehensive geological data. The geoscientific data publication refers to the original geological data that is produced via the process of observation, experiment, calculation and analysis, etc… by the geologists in accordance with the quality management and process control of the geological survey standard and through the Internet. The geoscientific data products also can be formed by systematic collection, collation and reprocessing of existing geological data, enabling other geologists to find, obtain, understand, analyze and use them conveniently and can be quoted in geological research papers and related geological research achievements(Li et al., 2015). The publishing process of geoscientific data mainly includes the following steps:(1) submitting data papers and data;(2) open review of physical data;(3) editing for preliminary review(4) peer review;(5) data publishing;(6) permanent storage of physical data;(7) physical data reference;(8) data paper and physical data evaluation(Jia et al., 2018). and the geoscientific data publication provide feasible operation methods for the sharing and exchange of massive geological data.
