论文摘要
Oceanic red beds are widely distributed in the global oceans and across the entire Phanerozoic period, which mostly appeared after oceanic anoxic events. They represent typical oxygen-rich sedimentary environment and play a significant role on ocean science research.Cretaceous Oceanic Red Bed(CORB) deposition has been one of the most attractive topics in Cretaceous research in the world, because it has a significant implication on paleoceanography evolution. A set of CORB developed in the North Subzone of the Tethys Himalayas(Wan et al., 2005; Wang and Hu, 2005; Li et al., 2007, 2009, 2011 a and b). This study concerns the planktic biostratigraphy of the CORB in the Duomu section, Gyangze, Southern Tibet. The Chuangde Formation(CORB) of this section is mainly composed of micofossil-bearing red limestone, shale and siliceous rocks. 34 samples were taken and the detailed study has been carried out on the planktonic foraminiferal biostratigraphy of the CORBs in the Duomu section. 18 species of 9 palnktic foraminferal genera were identified, the important elements of which include Archaeoglobigerina bowi, Globigerilloides ultramicra, G. prairiehillensis, Globotruncana linneiana, G. lapparenti, G. arca, G. ventricosa, G. falsostuarti, Globotruncanella havanensis, Globotruncanita elevata, G. stuartiformis, G. stuarti, Hedbergella holmdelensis, Heterohelix globulosa, H. striata, Radotruncana calcarata, R. subspinosa, and Rugoglobigerina rugosa etc. Four planktonic foraminiferal biozones were recognized as follows(in ascending order): G. elevata zone(Early Campanian), G. ventricosa zone(Early to Middle Campanian), R. calcarata zone(Middle Campanian) and G. havanensis zone(Late Campanian). The planktonic foraminiferal assemblage from the CORB in Duomu section gives it an age of Campanian of Late Cretaceous.
