Vesicle and crack are important reservoir spaces for volcanic reservoir of Changling depression and amygdales are widely developed in the vesicle of volcanic rocks. At present, there are still some problems in the study of amygdale in Changling depression, such as unclear composition and stage, unclear effect on reservoir and so on. Vesicle and crack filling features and reservoir effect were studied by means of the observation of drill cores and thin sections, electron micropobe and scanning electron microscopy. there are two kinds of filling models. One class of amygdale fillers has single component,such as chlorite, calcite, silica and celadonite, which often developed in the middle of lava flows. The other amygdale fillers can be recognized multiple components. It includes chlorite→calcite, chlorite→quartz, chlorite→zeolite, quartz→celedonite, etc. Compound amygdales are mostly developed in the upper of lava flow. Composition and characteristics of vesicle and crack fillers in volcanic rocks of Changling depression are influenced by lithology, lithofacies and geological structure, etc. Vesicle in rhyolite are generally not fully filled, while those in basalt and andesite lava are generally fully filled. Chlorite accounted for the highest proportion of fillers and formed earlier. By means of geological thermometer, it is found that chlorite was formed in low temperature environment. The amygdales form from precipitation and crystallization of epigenetic fluid. Vesicle and crack filling plays a destructive role in volcanic reservoirs in Changling depression. 90% of the primary vesicle space is completely lost. Some components of epignenticis come from the alteration of dark minerals. The dissolution of volcanic rock can produce dissolution pore and improve volcanic reservoir performance.
